In 2009, I arrived at Mike Walker's home for what I believed would be a simple professional meeting.
I had been hired to help document his life story and the remarkable collection of wildlife he had gathered during decades of travel and outdoor adventure across six continents.
As I stepped through the front door, the afternoon sun behind me, I found myself surrounded by something unlike anything I had ever seen before.
The silhouettes of animals from around the world filled the room. Each one represented a story, a place, a challenge, and a lifetime of experiences that few people ever have the opportunity to witness.

At the time, I had recently retired from a successful career in professional equestrian sports and veterinary work.
